Concealed Weapons
This selection of
work, culled from a larger body, is about familiar
products. Products are objects with an extra layer
of meaning. Conceal the object and you get the idea.
These paintings contain singular abbreviated images
with connective meaning, like simple words in a
larger sentence. This larger sentence is not an
object, it is a landscape.
The Band-Aid is both a product and a medium. It is a
filter that lets me draw without the romance of the
hand. The work does the work, fast and direct, like
a series of short one-liners. |
